In their words

What campers and parents say

I had a lot of fun and I learned a lot. I got to meet a lot of other water polo players and Coaches. The Camp helped me improve my fundamentals, tactics, and resilience! The pool was GREAT!!! I felt like I was swimming faster in the water. The pool facility was very CLEAN, too!

As a parent, it's a great camp. You know the coaches will keep your camper safe, and they will also treat them like a young adult. This camp is not only about water polo instruction and skills, but also life skills, work ethic, responsibility and accountability.

Common questions

Water polo camps, answered

What water polo camps does Gator Water Polo run?
Three are open or opening: a clinic in Winnipeg, Manitoba in October 2026, a two-day camp in Memphis, Tennessee in November 2026, and the Florida International Water Polo Event in Gainesville in summer 2027. Each has its own page with dates, ages, price and registration.
Where are the camps held?
Gainesville, Florida is home, and camps and clinics have also run in Ocala, in Centennial, Colorado, in Memphis, Tennessee, and in Surrey, British Columbia and Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. The full record is in the table on this page.
What age are the camps for?
It varies by camp and each one is split into age groups. The Manitoba clinic takes 10–18 in two groups; Memphis takes 12–19; the summer event in Gainesville takes 12–19 as day athletes and 13–19 as residential athletes.
Do you need to be an experienced player to attend?
The camps are coached in age and ability groups, and the coach-to-athlete ratio is deliberately low. They suit competitive athletes who already play; a complete beginner is better starting with a club team or a first free practice.
When does summer 2027 registration open?
November 2026. The dates for 2027 are not set yet — anything you may have seen listing June or July dates for 2027 was a stale schedule. Get in touch through the summer event page and we will send the dates when they are fixed.
